EXILIA’s new record “Decode” will be released on March 2012 all over Europe on ZYX Music. Some great collaborations makes this album more special, the old friend   Stephan “Gudze” Hinz bassplayer of the great crossover band H-Blockx features on “Over The Edge” and Dave Pensado,  who has mixed chart-toppers for some of the biggest name in show business such as Deftones, Pink,  Michael Jackson, Alien Aint Farm, Tool mixed “Satellite” which will be the opening track.
Decode is showing a new creative side of EXILIA where they are  challenging themselves in the realms of elegant song-writing and reaping the benefits incredibly, all songs provide intense and catchy chorus with  rhytmic detonation interspersed with Masha ’s unique voice before exploding in an eruption of pounding guitars where she really shows her versatility.
Actually the band just got back from Berlin where they shooted the video of the first single “Over The Edge” directed by Oliver Sommer from Ava Studios.The concept behind the video is inspired by a weird surreal short tale from Roald Dahl .

Curiosando qua e là sulla rete, su iltempo.ilsole24ore.com ho trovato un interessante articolo di Eleonora Sannibale. Parlava del Made in Italy famoso all’estero ma assolutamente ignoto al popolo italiano, come il marchio di vestiario Canali che nel 1934 nasce come laboratorio artigianale di capispalla maschili di qualità e oggi fornisce 80 paesi nel mondo superando oltre il 75 % del loro fatturato in esportazioni. Ma chi lo conosce?

Mi sono venuti in mente gli Exilia, una band alternative metal, attiva ormai da 10 anni che ha spopolato oltre confine in passato, ma sconosciuti ai più nel loro paese natio, l’Italia.
Oggi gli Exilia, da sempre guidati da Masha Mysmane, con il loro nuovo lavoro quasi totalmente acustico “Naked”, che celebra i maggiori successi dei singoli apprezzati soprattutto in Germania, si ritrovano per la sesta settimana nella classifica alternativa DAT20, al 12esimo posto trovandosi insieme a nomi di maggior fama quali Deftones, Danko Jones, Placebo. Non è curioso che le case discografiche investano in programmi costosissimi su personaggi da 4 stagioni mentre chi dimostra professionalità e fede nella musica venga leggermente snobbato dal mercato italiano?
Piccoli eroi dei due mondi (passateci il nostro orgoglio…) , Nemo propheta in patria!

La band italiana Exilia è entrata nella Chart tedesca 20 Dat (Deutschen Alternative- und Trendcharts) al 17esimo posto, con l’album “Naked”, pubblicato il 28 maggio 2010 (My Place Records / Soulfood/Venus).
Una soddisfazione impagabile essere tra i Placebo, Hole, Amy MacDonald e Deftones.
Del resto Masha Mysmane, Elio “Alien”, Marco Valerio ed il nuovissimo Rob Iaculli ce la mettono tutta.
Niente vacanze per loro, visto che è già cominciato il lavoro “on the road” a partire dal SXSW negli Usa
nel marzo di quest’anno, poi l’uscita del disco, il video, e già hanno un fornito calendario che li terrà lontani da casa fino a dicembre.
Fare il musicista è piacevole, questione di passione, ma bisogna lavorare sodo… come tutti gli altri.
Godetevi questi momenti. Sono preziosi. Keep on rockin‘!

“No Tears For you” is the first single of the new EXILIA’s release “NAKED” that came out  in stores on May the 21st.
The clip was  shooted in San Marcos Texas  (USA) on March 2010 while the band was there to perform at the important american event SXSW  festival!
